The Mauritius chapter is over – and suddenly I’m back in Germany

The chapter in Mauritius has ended. And suddenly I’m standing here again in Germany – at the worst possible time.
Winter. Cold. Grey. Rain. 🌧️
And with every drop, the mood sinks a little further.

Nothing is working right now. No job. Money is getting tight. My motivation has disappeared somewhere.
My blog? Silent for weeks.

In the beginning, there was energy, ideas, momentum. Now I sit around, watch videos 🎮, play games, write a few job applications here and there.
The rest of the day feels like one big:
“I just want to lie down.” 🛏️

At the same time, another part of me is screaming:
“I’m bored! I want to go out! I want to do something! I have a thousand ideas!”
And still, nothing moves. Everything gets stuck in my head, frozen like winter branches in a cold forest. 🌲❄️

Today I came across a method that describes this chaos perfectly.
It’s called:

🧭 The 3-2-1 Life Structure

This method captures exactly what happens in moments like these:
Overload without any real load.
A head full, hands empty. No starting point. No direction.

That familiar feeling:
“I should… but I can’t.”

And then it hits: Freeze. 🧊
Not because there’s too much to do – but because everything is blurry, scattered, unstructured.

The mistake is to grab some random task and “just start.”
That instantly creates pressure and overwhelm.
What you really need in these moments is a clear, tiny starting point.

⚓ 1 – One Thing: The Anchor

Not a to-do.
But a small state that calms your inner system.

Mini-anchors that work immediately:

  • tidy a tiny area for 5 minutes 🧹
  • step outside for a moment 🚶‍♂️
  • drink or eat something ☕
  • wash your face or take a quick shower 🚿
  • write a small list 📝: “Three things that would be okay today”

These things pull you out of your head – and back into the present moment.

🛣️ 2 – Two Paths: Stability or Movement

After the anchor, there are only two possible directions:

A – Stability 🧘

when everything inside feels shaky:

  • sort something
  • eat
  • calm your body
  • create a bit of order

B – Movement 🔄

when you feel stuck:

  • go outside for a few minutes
  • take one small productive step
  • do one tiny action toward a goal

Your body usually knows faster than your mind which path you need.

🎯 3 – Three Steps: Small enough to actually work

To avoid blocking yourself:

  1. Set a timer for 2 minutes ⏱️
  2. do the smallest possible action 🔧
  3. say: “Done.” ✔️

That’s it.
But that’s exactly what makes the difference between standing still and taking a first step.

🧩 The real point

I’m realizing something:

I don’t have too many tasks.
I have too many scattered thoughts.

And the 3-2-1 structure pulls them together just enough to create movement again – without pressure and without chaos.
